Balloon Frame

Hello lovely people, today I thought I would share what I made for my guest designer post over on the Chocolate Baroque Design Team blog. You can find the details of how I made it here, but basically it is an up-cycled picture frame and the stamps I used were from the Punk Hearts and Fluttering Hearts stamp sets from Chocolate Baroque.

Musical Canvas

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I have another mini canvas to share today that I made using the Musical Fanfare stamp set from Chocolate Baroque.
I started off by stamping the cello image onto tissue paper and then sticking it to the canvas with matt Mod Podge. I then smeared Molding Paste around the stamped image and whilst it was still wet I stuck lace, seed beads, buttons and flowers into it. When it was dry I painted over it with cream and gold acrylic paints. I also added Peacock Feathers Distress Stains as well as the Picket Fence stain around the edges. I cut a treble clef on my scan n cut and stamped the musical heart stamp over it, coloured with dried marigold distress ink and then glued to the canvas. I also stamped the heart onto tissue and then glued it to the canvas before covering with Matt Accents.
A few of the flowers from the main stamped image have been decoupaged and glittered and gold gilding wax has been dabbed here and there.

Bird Canvas

Hello all. Today's post here and over on Chocolate Baroque Design Teams blog marks the end of me being the guest designer for January. I have really enjoyed it and loved playing with the Punky Hearts and Fluttering Hearts stamp sets. Today I have a mini canvas that I created using stamps from both sets. The main bird image was stamped into Iridescent Paste and coloured with Promarkers. The heart strings have been highlighted with glitter and Glossy Accents, the "grass" was created from green jute and a few seed beads and the border has been made from string and gold Perfect Pearl paint pen.

CD Plaque

Hi, thanks for stopping by. Today my second post as a guest designer is over on the Chocolate Baroque design team blog, that I created using the Punky Hearts and Fluttering Hearts stamp sets. I have absolutley loved playing with both of these stamp sets so for my own post today I decided to use the Fluttering Heart set to make this little CD plaque. I cut a piece of card to cover the old CD and then  stamped the border with sepia Versa Fine and then coloured the whole area with blue Distress ink. The little hearts were coloured with Promarkers and then glittered with crystal Stickles. The flower, heart and butterfly are part of two different stamps but I picked out these elements from the two images to use in there own right. I coloured them all with Promarkers and added a few splodges of crystal Stickles. To save faffing with the butterfly's antenna I decided to be brutal and cut them off, but replace them with some beaded wire. I edged the disc with a black Promarker and mounted the disc in a die cut stand.

Chocolate Baroque Door Hanger

Hello and thanks for stopping by. If you have arrived here via the Chocolate Baroque Design Team blog then I hope you liked my very first guest design team post. I was so excited to be invited as January's guest designer and could not wait to get started with these fantastic stamps.

My little blog has been a bit neglected over the past couple of years but I am hoping to turn that around this year and make it a proper showcase for my crafty creations, so I would be most grateful for your return visit.
 The two stamp sets that Chocolate Baroque sent me for the January blog posts were Punky Hearts and Fluttering Hearts and have used stamps from both sets to create this resist technique, door hanger.
I started by covering the wooden door hanger with Peacock Feathers Distress Stain and then stamped and embossed the heart stamps with white embossing powder. I added some Teal and Cranberry Tinka Billa inks and then wiped the excess from the embossed images. I stamped and embossed the butterfly and heart image using black detail embossing powder and painted with cranberry, teal and orange Tinka Billa inks. After cutting out and mounting onto the hanger with Pinflair Glue Gel I finished the design off with some beads attached to a strip of chipboard using eyelets and jump-rings.

I know it is a tad late and the shear lack of posts in the past year or two has been underwhelming to say the least, but I hope to rectify the problem this year. Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge

Hello, this is my entry for another Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge. The colours permitted this time are displayed below and the stamp set I used was called Mackintosh Windows from Chocolate Baroque's website. I coloured the main image with Promarkers. I then cut the image out and stuck to the base card using Pinflair glue gel. The base card was created using promarkers and a perfect spritzer tool to create an airbrush effect.

Hi, thanks for stopping by. The card I have to share with you today was made for a friend's birthday using the oriental stamp set that came with one of the monthly Creative Stamping magazines. The little flower background stamp was from my stash but not sure who designed it.
The main image was stamped with Memento Ink and then coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils. I cut it out using a Spellbinders die and mounted onto pick card that I had die cut using the same circular die shape. The base card was stamped with the little flower stamp using a brown distress ink and then brushed over using the same ink. The Happy Birthday was stamped using Memento Ink and there you have it, one simple birthday card.

Chocolate Baroque Challenge 3

Haven't added anything to the blog for ages......so today I have a post for the Chocolate Baroque monthly challenge which has to include the above colours.

I have used a current stamp (Artistic Expressions) set from Chocolate Baroque and a retired Elusive Images set called Filligree Fusion. I stamped onto a hammered, white card and quite like the mottled effect it gave when I brushed over the Distress Ink. The main image was created by stamping the swirl leaf design, four times and then coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils.

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge

Hello all and thanks for stopping by. I have decided to join Chocolate Baroque's colour challenge using the above colours and of course Chocolate Baroque Stamps. 

 I wouldn't normally use this colour pallete and found it quite a challenge, but decided to use these colours with the Nature, Texture and Abstract Fragment sets of stamps from Chocolate Baroque

I have not used any techniques other than inking the stamps and applying it to the card. I really love the different Fragment stamps as they give so many varied effects. I finished the design off with a Create Art used from the Artistic Expressions set. Thanks for looking and hope to be back soon with the next Challenge.

16th Birthday - Scan N Cut Style

Afternoon all. The card I have for this sunny afternoon is one that I designed and cut on my wonderful Scan N Cut machine. I have done a few different variations of this card this Summer as my daughter and her friends are all turning 16. I have had the paper in my craft room for years so don't know who it is designed by and the Birthday Wishes was added from a stamp.
