Birds and Beads

Good Morning! Today I have a card made with the Birdcage Collage cling mounted stamp from Chocolate Baroque.
I have coloured the design with Promarkers and added some beaded head pins to the bottom of the design.  The jump rings that the head pins hang from were put through the "holes" in the trellis background of the stamp.
The base card was edged with Fired Brick Distress Ink and the cream background was embossed with a Sheena Douglass Taste of India embossing folder, before going over the embossed area with the Fired Brick.
The card was finished off with the With Love sentiment stamped with black Versafine, from the Mackintosh Sentiments clear stamp set.
Thanks for the visit and hope to see you again soon.

Butterfly Jewllery

Hello there, thanks for stopping by. I have three simple pieces of jewellery to show today. They have all been created using the fabulous Butterfly Dress cling mounted stamp from Chocolate Baroque
I just melted some ordinary silver and clear embossing powder together in my melt pot and then added a tiny bit of a Gelato crayon to add the colour. I inked up the stamp using black Staz-on, placed a metal cooking cutter over the stamp and then poured in the melted embossing liquid.
When the pieces had cooled I painted all of the edges with black acrylic and very lightly, dry brushed some white acrylic paint to highlight the texture left by the stamp.
The necklace bale was glued to the back of the pendant with superglue and then I added a piece of faux leather. I attached some clasps to the leather and it was then ready to wear.
The brooch back was glued to the back of the butterfly with the superglue but before I stuck it to the back I attached three jump rings through the holes of the brooch pin before attaching three head pins that I had threaded with seed beads.

Many thanks for looking......will be back soon :-)

Monochrome Butterfly Lady

Hello and thanks for stopping by. The card I have for you today has been created using the fabulous Butterfly Dress cling mounted stamp from Chocolate Baroque.

  • The base card has been repeatedly stamped with the dress part of the Butterfly Dress stamp, using black onyx Versfine Ink.
  • The main image was stamped with Versamark before being heat embossed with a black sparkle embossing powder, and then mounted onto black card.
  • As you can see the corners have been rounded which I did with a corner punch and three Candi buttons have been added for interest.
I think you will agree that if you need to make a card in a hurry then something like this would be ideal.

Be back soon xxx

Happy Easter

Good morning, hope you are all looking forward to Easter. Today I have a little card created with the Floral Eggs  and Spring Bird Crocus stamp sets which are both from Chocolate Baroque.

  • I used the little decorative stamp from the Crocus set in conjunction with my Inkadinkadoo stamping system to create the circular design, which I coloured with Spectrum Noir Pencils. I also added this design in each corner of the base card.
  • I decoupaged the centre egg which comes from the Floral Egg set. I stamped this using blue versafine which I clear embossed and then water coloured with Disress ink.
  • The background has been coloured with Distress Ink and edged with a lavender chalk ink.
Thanks for looking and I will be back soon with another project.

Party Plate Flowers

Hello! Just thought I would show this plate I made a while back using Chocolate Baroque's Sketchy Doodle Flower set.
I picked up a set of left over Christmas Party plates in the supermarket with the intention of using them for "something". So I sprayed the gold plate with brown and deep red alcohol ink to give it this old copper tone. The main image was stamped onto tissue and then glued with Mod Podge to the centre of the plate and Molding Paste and seed beads were spread around the edges of the central image. I painted the paste with cerise acrylic paint and attached the stamped flowers and butterfly as a finishing touch.
Thanks for looking :-)

Colour Challenge 9

Hi everyone, the card I have today is for the Chocolate Baroque Challenge. The colour theme is:
The card I have designed for the challenge is:
The inks used are: Evergreen Bough, Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks along with a blue Versafine. I used the Graceful Flower stencil along with one of the Floral Egg stamps which are brand new over at Chocolate Baroque and for the edging of the card I have used a little stamp from the Tangled Fragments set.

  • This is a very easy card to make. The main image was created by inking up the stencil with the blue versafine and using it like a stamp followed by water colouring with the Distress Inks.
  • The Floral Egg was also inked up with the Versafine but I clear embossed it before water colouring with the Distress Ink.
  • The edges were stamped with the Tangle Fragment stamp using Evergreen Bough.
  • The panel was mounted onto the base card which has been inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and a few dabs of Crystal Stickles have been added for interest.
Thanks for popping by.
