Happy Birthday Katie

Evening bloggers. I haven't posted anything for ages so I thought as it's my daughter's birthday today I would post the box card I made for her. The owls are from a set of stamps by Hobby Craft, which I coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils. The card it self, leaves, panels and text have all been created on the Scan n Cut except the wood effect embossing which was created using a Tim Holtz embossing folder.

Chocolate Baroque Challenge

 Hello! Thanks for stopping by. These two cards were made for a recent challenge on Chocolate Baroque's facebook page, which I was picked as one of the winners so very pleased. Thank you Glenda! All stamps used are from Chocolate Baroque and all ink used is Tim Holtz Distress colours.

Scan N Cut Makes

 This 50th birthday card was made using the free trellis download from Gentleman Crafters blog. The butterfly is an old stamp I have from Wendie Rhodes, the Happy Birthday is from a Joanna Sheen die and the rest were cut from the built in designs in the Scan N Cut.

 The flower border is a stamp from Clarity stamp which I coloured with pro markers and stickles glitter. The rest of the designs were cut from the SnC machine

This is my favourite as I think this little bag is really cute. I cut this from a design on My Crafty Life blog. The flowers and the little patch pocket were designs already in the SnC machine.

CD Plaque

Hello. I have a plaque made from an old CD to show you this evening. All the stamps used are Chocolate Baroque and has been coloured with Distress Ink. The edge of the CD was painted with copper acrylic paint and then dabbed with black Staz-on to make it looked aged I added mini buttons to the centres of the stamped flowers to add interest.

Clarity Stamp Challenge - Flower Power

Hello, thanks for dropping by. I don't have a card today but something made from card instead. The Clarity Challenge this month is titled Flower Power so I decided to take it at its word and make some flowers and a vase for good measure.
After checking with Clarity Stamps that they didn't mind me cutting their stamped images on the Scan N Cut (they are happy if it's for personal use) I set about stamping the individual petals and leaves on two plain white sheets of A4. Then the Scan N Cut cut them all out to save me the job. I brushed blue distress ink over the flower petals and green distress over the leaves. I glued the flowers petals using Pinflair Gel and when they were dry I attached to craft wire to make the stems. The leaves have also been glued to craft wire using Pinflair Gel.
I designed the vase on my Scan n Cut and stamped the sentiment (from Clarity Stamps)before assembling the whole thing together. Just to add a bit of bling I dabbed Crystal Stickles around the sentiment.

Butterfly Meadow

Afternoon all. The card today has been stamped using Chocolate Baroque stamps and distress ink. I created the background by sponging distress ink onto card and then spritzing with water and drying with a kitchen towel. I then stamped the flowers in a bronze Brilliance ink and then over stamped with a black Versa-fine ink to create a shadow. I then cut the design into three equal strips and mounted onto silver mirri card. The butterflies were stamped onto acetate using black Staz-on and then coloured on the reverse with Sakura Geli pens. I added crystal stickles to the wings and then mounted them on the card with foam pads.

Beaded Heart Canvas

 Afternoon all. Today I have a mixed media canvas to show.
The main heart on the canvas was created by stamping into Sculpey light weight clay and colouring with Perfect Pearls. When it was dry I glued cord around the edge and then stitched some beading to it. The little flowers were also made from Sculpey light-weight clay that I made from a mould and also coloured using Perfect Pearls. The mini hearts were made by die-cutting a mini sizzix die and applying dimensional paste through, which again had been coloured with Perfect Pearls. The background to the canvas has been stamped in clear and then Distress ink sponged over to create a resist along with the dimensional paste being added to the edges and Walnut Distress dabbed over once it was dry. I coloured some cotton lace trim with Distress ink and attached to the front along with a couple of moulded clay flowers and added a stamped sentiment to finish off. Clarity Stamp Challenge - Love And Romance

 Hi, thanks for stopping by. The card I have today is to go in the Clarity Stamp challenge titled Love and Romance. As always just Clarity Stamps have been used and in this case just one single stamp was used to create the whole card. The centre heart was stamped into Sculpey light weight clay and coloured with Perfect Pearls and glazed. When the clay was set I glued a cord around the edge and then stitched the beading. The base card was inked with distress ink and spritzed with a brass Tattered Lace spray. I over stamped with the heart stamp and layered up individual hearts from the same stamp before adding the clay heart in the centre

CD Plaque

 Evening crafty bloggers, this evening I have a little flower plaque that I have made out of an old CD. I painted the edges with copper acrylic paint and when it was dry I just sponged a smidge of black Gesso over the top. The flowers have been created using a Chocolate Baroque flower stamp that I pressed into Sculpey light clay. I dusted them with Perfect Pearls before setting in the oven.

The sentiment was another Chocolate Baroque stamp which I really like and strikes a chord with me. I embossed this in black and dabbed a copper rub on over the surface of the clay flowers and butterfly. I finished the flowers and butterfly off by painting the edges with black Gesso.
The little stand has been die cut from a piece of green card.

Clarity Stamp Challenge - New Beginings

Happy New Year bloggers and to kick off this year's posts I have a Clarity Challenge card. This month's Clarity challenge is titled New Beginings, self explanatory, but as only Clarity stamps can be used I have to make  the stamps I have fit the theme, so after a think I decided with a tree in full blossom as the main focal point. I used the bare tree as the background and then added the blossom using various shades of pink ink and highlited with white.

Clarity Stamp Challenge - Scene Building

Hello crafty blog people, thanks for stopping by. This was a quick make that I have managed to squeeze in for the last challenge of the year over at the Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog. As usual all the stamps used are from Clarity and a mixture of Distress and Adirondack ink has been used to colour it.
Happy New Year to you all and hopefully next year will see me post more projects on here, well that's the aim anyway........
